Kate Shaw
RN, BSN
Kate was born and raised here in Charlotte. She graduated from UNCG in 2000 with her BSN. After graduation, Kate was fortunate enough to get a job at CMC Main in their Newborn Nursery. She was a nursery nurse for several years and then transitioned to a mother-baby nurse. She is blessed to have had the privilege to educate and care for families and their newborns for 15 years now.
As a night nanny, Kate is looking forward to helping families in their home and outside of the hospital. The hospital can be very fast paced and we as nurses aren’t always able to spend as much one on one time with our patients as we would like to. She is excited to be able to focus all of her attention on one family at a time.
In her free time Kate enjoys spending time with her family. Kate and her husband have been married for 15 years. They have a 13-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son. Their daughter is a dancer and they love nothing more than seeing her on stage doing what she loves. Their son is a Cub Scout so they try to spend as much time outdoors as they can.
