Tera was born and raised in Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree in 2006. Ready for a new adventure and wanting to escape the cold weather, she made the move to Charlotte! For the past 9 years, she has worked at Carolinas Medical Center on the Mother Baby unit. When she’s not working, she loves to spend time with family, friends, and her dog Lola, travel (anywhere there’s a beach), shop, watch football (Go Panthers and Hawkeyes), and any outdoor activities.
She has always known her passion is taking care of women and children, and she is so excited and blessed to be able to take it a step further providing personal, in-home, one on one care for your family. Having worked night shift the past 9 years, she saw first hand how little sleep parents get when having a newborn. She realized there was a definite need for overnight newborn care in Charlotte and surrounding areas, and that led to the founding of Charlotte Newborn Care!
